The Letter to the Galatians is called the Magna Carta of Christian liberty, the Charter of Freedom, from the Law of Moses and the power of Sin and declares our liberty in Christ. In this letter Paul the Apostle fights Judaizing attempt of Jewish Christians, to save the infant church from becoming a sect of Judaism.  Philippi, a city in Macedonia, had the distinction of having the first church in Europe, established by the efforts of Paul, as directed by the Holy Spirit. Philippian Christians had developed a loving relationship with Paul and had supported him financially even when he was ministering in other churches. The Letter to the Philippians is of encouragement and a letter thanking them. It is also called the "Epistle of Joy".
