Despite being tortured and imprisoned for fourteen years for his obedient witness, he shared a message of Christ’s love and forgiveness to his persecutors. “I love the Communists with all of my heart,” he wrote. “Communists can kill Christians but they cannot kill their love toward even those who killed them.”
